Overview

Annapurna Circle Trek also called Annapurna Circuit Trek is one of the best treks in the world that will take you to the spellbinding Annapurna sanctuary. This trek takes you to Thorong La pass (5416 meters), Manang valley, Muktinath, and Jomsom which all are the main targets of tourists who seek natural beauty and serenity.

This trek provides one with wonderful views of Annapurna massif (Annapurna I-IV), Gangapurna at 7,455 meters (24,458ft) and Tilicho Peak at 7,134 meters (23,405ft), Dhaulagiri at 8,167 meters (26,794ft),  Manaslu at 8,163 meters (26’781ft) and so many other contiguous peaks. In addition to the mountains, this trek will also expose you to the verdant forests of rhododendrons, green hills, exotic streams, marvelous Tilicho valley, etc.

Arrival in Kathmandu Airport(1350m)

Once you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, our representative from Greater Himalaya will pick you up from the airport, help you collect your luggage, and escort you to the hotel where you are to stay overnight.

Drive from Kathmandu to Syange (1100m) 7/8 Hours 4WD Drive

Relishing the excellent views of Nepal like thundering rivers, waterfalls, cultivated lands, dense forests, green hills plus the occasional view of snow-clad peaks, we will drive from Kathmandu to Syange where we will stay overnight.

Trek from Syange to Dharapani: About 7 to 8 hours

Our destination today is Dharapani- one of the largest villages of Manang valley. En route, we will trek past cultivated lands (rice, barley fields just to name a few), rivers, Buddhist stupas, etc.  to finally arrive at Dharapani where we will stay overnight. Manag valley is mainly resided by Tibetan Gurungs. We will also walk past Kodo village and finally reach Dharapani after 7 to hours of trekking.

Trek to Chame: About 5 to 6 hours

Today we will trek to Chame which happens to be the headquarters of Manang district. We will trek for about 5 to 6 hours with views of several perennial rivers and tributaries, villages, hills, etc. To add the cherry on the top, today’s trek will bestow you with extraordinary views of the Ganesh Himal range, Lamjung Himal, Annapurna IV, and Annapurna II. We will trek and eventually reach Chame where we will call it a day and stay overnight.

Trek to Pisang: About 5 to 6 hours of trek

We will trek towards Pisang village after having breakfast in Chame. We will follow a motorable trekking route which eventually progresses to protruding snowline leaving behind the trees and forest line. After resting in the lodge at Pisang for a while, we can trek to Upper Pisang for unparalleled views of Pisang peak, Annapurna II, Annapurna III, and Annapurna IV.

Trek to Manang: About 6 to 7 hours of trek

We will inch towards the Tibetan Gurung Village of Manang by crossing several serene villages along the way like Ghyaru, Ngawal, Chulu, etc. The entire day, you will be blessed with views of Annapurna massifs, Gangapurna, and Tilicho peak. You are likely to witness many Buddhist stupas and Mani walls throughout today. We will even visit Barge monastery which happens to be the biggest and one of the most revered monasteries in the Manang district. We will stay overnight in Manang.

Explore Manang/ Acclimatization day in Manang

We will take a day to explore the attractions of Manang and this will also serve for our acclimatization. We will visit Gangapurna lake and climb up to Deurali (4200 meters) for the views of Manang Himal (also called Chulu West and Chulu east). Depending upon the time, we can also visit Milarepa cave and Ice lake which provides enchanting views of Tilicho valley. We will stay overnight in Manang.

Trek to Yak Kharka : About 3 to 4 hours of trek

We will head towards Yak Kharka by crossing several streams and villages. We will trek out of Marshyangdi valley. We will cross some pastures, Ghunsa (which is a small village en-route), ancient Mani wall, etc. which will eventually lead us to Yak Kharka. Today we will trek slowly and steadily so altitude sickness (Altitude Mountain Sickness) won’t hit us. We will stay overnight at a lodge in Yak Kharka.

Trek to Thorong Phedi/High Camp: About 3 to 4 hours of trek

We will leave behind Yak Kharka and cross several rockfall arenas, and streams (these streams appear frozen in Winter). The sights today include alpine meadows, grazing land of blue sheep and yak, continuous views of snow-covered peaks (like Mount Gudang, Thorung Peak, Mount Syagang, and Mount Khatungkan), snow-rolled hills, etc. We will also take a short hike to Thorong High Camp at (4925 meters) which provides a magnificent view of Chulu west peak. At 6419 meters, Chulu west peak is a famous trekking peak of Nepal. Overnight stay in Phedi.

Trek to Muktinath via Thorong La Pass and Drive to Jomsom

Thorong La Pass at 5416 meters, is one of the highest passes in the world and this is what we are going to conquer today. We will commence our journey pre-dawn and head towards Thorong La Pass. This pass is the highest pass in the Annapurna region and it provides spellbinding views of Annapurna mountain ranges, Dhaulagiri ranges, Annapurna region; its glacial lakes and glaciers, etc. we will enjoy in Thorong La pass, take some pictures and then we will cross the pass heading towards Muktinath from Manang. After descending down to Muktinath, we will visit Muktinath temple and then ride towards Jomsom. Muktinath temple is a remarkable epitome of religious tolerance in Nepal and it displays an amazing blend of Hinduism and Buddhism. Likewise, Jomsom is another beauty and tourist hub of the Himalayan region in Nepal. We will stay overnight in Jomsom.

Drive to Pokhara By Scheduled Bus/Jeep

We will take a domestic flight from Jomsom to Pokhara. Even during this flight, you will have a captivating alpine view of the forests and mountains of Nepal. You can spend your leisure time in Pokhara by roaming in the streets, exploring lakes, going on a boat ride, buying souvenirs, etc.

Drive to Kathmandu

You will be served a scrumptious breakfast in Pokhara after which we will bid our farewell to this city of lakes and adventures. It will take us about 7 to 8 hours to arrive at Kathmandu. You can take a rest in your hotel room for some time. Later, we will host a dinner party for rejoicing the trek and our time together.

Departure from Kathmandu

On the final day of the tour, we will drop you at the Tribhuvan International Airport and bid you goodbye.
