Our 5 Days tour begins from your arrival in Delhi. From Delhi, you will fly directly to Bagdogra airport and from there drive to Darjeeling. Popularly known as Queen of Hills, Darjeeling is in the Shivalik Hills of the lower Himalayas. This place provides cool views of the Himalayas. Arrival: Delhi India > Departure: Bagdogra West Bangal

Arrival at Delhi; Fly to Bagdogra; Drive to Darjeeling

Upon your arrival in Delhi, our local guide will welcome you and provide a brief introduction. From there you will fly to Bagdogra airport. After reaching the airport, we will drive to the mesmerizing hill station of Darjeeling. After reaching there, we will check-in to the hotel and take a rest for a while. In your leisure time, you can stroll around the market of Darjeeling and get a deep insight into the lifestyle of Darjeeling people.

Darjeeling Sightseeing

After one complete rest day, you will be rewarded with the most awaited scenes of this tour. We will wake up early in the morning around 3 am to 4 am and drive to beautiful Tiger Hill (2,590m) in Darjeeling. From the top of this hill station, you can get the first glimpse of Mt. Kanchenjunga, the third-highest peak in the world, illuminated by sun rays. After enjoying the view of the sunrise, we will drive back to the hotel.

On our way back to the hotel, we will pay a visit to the holy Ghoom Monastery which carries important significance among Buddhist pilgrims. We will also visit Batista Loop where you can observe the Darjeeling War Memorial and Darjeeling Toy Train.
After arriving at the hotel, we will enjoy our breakfast and continue our tour to the mesmerizing hill station town. We will visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Peace Pagoda, Japanese Temple, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, etc. The Zoological Park remains close on Saturday.
In the evening, you can stroll around the Darjeeling local markets and buy souvenirs for your loved ones. We will also visit Chowrasta and Mall Road to know about the lifestyle of the local people and to enjoy affordable shopping.

Drive from Darjeeling to Gangtok

After having breakfast, we will check-out from the hotel and drive towards the capital city of Sikkim, Gangtok. We will ride through the serpentine roads filled with the adorable beauty of the giant peaks and hills.
We will stop by Lopchu to take pictures of the surroundings. In Lopchu, you can get a glimpse of Lovers Meet Point which offers the view of the meeting point of Teesta and Rangit Rivers. We will continue our drive towards Gangtok and reach there by mid-afternoon. We will check in to the hotel and rest for a while. In the evening, you can roam around gleaming MG Marg and witness the lifestyle of the local life.

Gangtok Sightseeing

Today we will take an excursion to Gangtok and Sikkim. We will enjoy breakfast early in the morning and drive to magnificent Tsomgo Lake situated at 3,750m. It takes around 2-3 hours to reach there from Gangtok. Since it lies at a high altitude, we will keep our riding pace slow and stop often to take a break.
After arriving at Lake, we will roam around the serene environment of the lakeside and capture the moments on camera. You can also enjoy a hot bowl of noodles in the nearest hotel to warm your body. Wind, fog, and smog make the environment slightly cold so layer the clothing while visiting Tsomgo Lake.
After completing the Tsomgo Lake Tour, we will head towards Baba Harbhajan Mandir (4,000m). It is protected by Indian Militaries and is the major attraction of the Gangtok tour. Then, we will drive back to the hotel and enjoy the shopping on MG Road. You can also taste popular street dishes here.

Drive from Gangtok to Bagdogra: End of the Tour

Today is the final day of our 5-days Darjeeling and Sikkim tour. We will enjoy the short Gangtok city tour by visiting Jhakri Falls, Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok, Tashi View Point, etc. We will also enjoy the view of Mt. Kanchenjunga and other peaks along with a panorama of Gangtok city. We will also explore the Institute of Tibetology, Enchay Monastery, Dordul Chorten, etc.

After enjoying a short city tour, we will check-out from the hotel and our office representatives will drop you at the Bagdogra Airport/ NJP Railway Station through the short and scenic drive from Gangtok.

During our Darjeeling and Sikkim Tour, you will be staying in a 3-star hotel. You have to share the twin room with another touring partner. However, if you want a single room, then you can tell us and we will manage it for you at an additional cost.

Be it a single or twin room, it will be amazingly comfortable for you to spend a night. Every room is clean and well-equipped with needed materials. Also, there are facilities of air conditioner, shower, and attached bathroom. You will get a warm blanket and pillow.

If you want to stay in a 5-star hotel rather than a 3-star hotel, then we can make changes to your itinerary. You can enjoy the luxurious facilities, if they are available, just by paying a little extra. Just tell us and we will give you everything as per your demand.

Meals during Darjeeling and Sikkim Tour

In most of the Greater Himalaya itinerary, breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included in the tour package. We will try our best to serve authentic and unique food during the tour. However, if you want to taste something beyond this such as street foods, snacks, water, etc. then you need to pay for it on your own.

In Darjeeling, you can enjoy varied dishes such as Kwati, Aaloo Aachar, Pork Curry, Thukpa, Dal Bhat, Gundruk, Sekuwa, Phambi, Wachipa, Momo, etc. Darjeeling is incredibly famous for its ethnic dishes which carry a unique taste. Similarly, in Sikkim, you can taste the famous food Phagshapa.
