Arrival in Kathmandu Airport(1340m)

One of the representatives or agents of Greater Himalaya will pick you up and escort you to a predetermined hotel following your landing. We will meet shortly after you get refreshed and relax for a while in your hotel room. We will organize a welcome dinner for you where you get to enjoy national as well as international cuisines and beverages. We will acquaint yourself well and later, we will escort you back to your hotel room.

Sightseeing tour of UNESCO world heritages sites in Kathmandu valley (With a proficient guide)

For your second day in Nepal, we will arrange a proficient guide who will provide you some insights on the UNESCO World Heritage sites that you will sightsee today. Besides being the cultural hub of Nepal, Kathmandu is also the cultural and historical hub thanks to its rich history.  
We will make a trip to Pashupatinath which is a popular Hindu temple often visited by Hindu and Buddhist Pilgrims all over the world. Evening aarati hosted in this ancient Shiva temple is a huge deal. Likewise, Swambhunath and Boudhanath are 2 other renowned heritage sites of Nepal for Lord Buddha (the light of Asia). Located on a cliff or hillock, Swayambhunath is a stupa with Buddha eyes on the 4 sides. Boudhanath is one of the largest stupas on earth. 
In addition to these, Patan Durbar Square and Bhaktapur Durbar Square are other stunning architectures on the visit list today. We will also brief you about the trekking plan and execution today. Overnight you shall stay in a hotel.

Kathmandu to Lukla (2800 meters) domestic flight (40 minutes), Lukla to Phakding trek (1.5 hours)

We will arrange a private vehicle or tourist bus to pick you up from the hotel and escort you to the domestic section of Tribhuvan International Airport. We will fly towards the thrilling Lukla airport which happens to be one of the most highly located airports in the world. In your 40-minute flight to Lukla, you will be seeing alpine and distant views of the valleys, rivers, and forests of Nepal. You will also get glimpses of the magnetic Himalayas of Nepal from the flight itself. 
In Lukla, you will have breakfast and meet the trekking crew members, porters, and guides. After this, we will trek straightaway to Phakding, our destination for the first night. We will pass the Dudh Koshi river, several Sherpa villages, occasional glimpses of the Himalayas, mountainous settlements, etc. We will stay overnight on a trek with breakfast and dinner service.

Phakding to Namche Bazar (3440 meters) trek (5 hours)

Following the scenic trail along the Dudhkoshi River, we will set towards Namche Bazaar. We will walk in a forested trail through the forest of rhododendron, giant fir, Himalayan Pine, etc. Today will also bestow you with views of Mountain Kangaroo and Mount Thamserku. You will be trekking past several suspension bridges, pine forests, Mani walls, waterfalls, etc. today to arrive in the happening city of Namche Bazar. Trekking through the wooded trekking tracks, you might also get a glimpse of faunas like a Himalayan goat, musk deer, Jharals etc. We are most likely to have a lunch break in Jorsalle. 
Upon reaching the lodge in Namche Bazar, we will land our stuff. You can explore the local markets and shops in this region in your free time.

Acclimatization day in Namche Bazar: Explore Namche Bazar

We will be exploring Namche Bazar and its nearby attractions today. We will take a short hike to the Everest View Hotel. Situated at an elevation of 3870 meters, Everest View Hotel is one of the highest hotels in the world and also a major attraction of the Everest region. We will be able to witness the views of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and many other adjoining peaks from this hotel. 
After visiting the Everest View hotel, we will also sightsee the Khumjung village inhabited by Local Sherpas. Today will also serve as acclimatization. Please keep in mind to keep yourself hydrated as you gain elevation. Overnight stay at a hotel or lodge in Namche Bazar.

Trek to Dole (4200 meters) from Namche Bazar (6 hours)

We will set off to Dole for which we take a sheer climb from Namche Bazar.  We will arrive at Khumjung along the way from where you can relish spectacular views of Mount Ama Dablam and Mount Thamserku. We will hike to Mong La (This can get quite challenging, so hold in there). We will halt briefly in Mong La to admire the serene surrounding, snow-capped hills, and the exotic Himalayas. After this, we will transverse via a forested trail passing some waterfalls and bridges. Eventually, after trekking for about 6 to 7 hours, we will arrive at Dole where we will stay overnight.

Trek to Maccherma (4470 meters) from Dole (5 hours)

As we head towards Maccherma from Dole, we will ascend gradually along the trail. We will pass Lhabarma (4220 meters) and a delightful village of Luza (4360 meters) via a steep route. You will get the sights of Mount Cho Oyu as we ascend towards our destination for today. Beside Mount Cho Oyu, you will also be seeing Mount Thamserku and Kantega plus the lush rhododendron forest. After trekking for about 5 hours, we will arrive at the tea house or lodge in Maccherma where we will stay overnight

Acclimatization/ Exploration in Maccherma

We will take one more acclimatization day before proceeding with this trek. We will explore the places near Maccherma, encounter with the locals, and indulge in local stories and tales. Overnight stay at the same lodge as the night before.

Hike to Gokyo Lake (4790 meters): About 5 hours of trek

From Macchermo, we will ascend via a ridge to arrive at Gokyo. The beauty that you will witness today will bewitch you, such is the aura and splendor of Gokyo lakes. The placid turquoise Gokyo lakes with mountains in the background and mountains reflection are the lake water is the sight that will captivate you forever. 
Ngozumpa glacier, Mount Cho Oyu (8201 meters), Mount Cholatse (6335 meters) bluish-green water of Gokyo lakes are some major charms that you will witness today as you trek for 5 hours to arrive at Gokyo Lakes. We will stay overnight in one of the lodges queued up in Gokyo lake with breakfast and dinner service.

Hike to Gokyo Ri at 5360 meters (Aim for sunrise views); About 4 hours

The sunset view from Gokyo Ri is one of the best views and attractions of this trek. We will commence trekking early in the morning to enjoy the views of sun rays hitting the mountains like Mount Everest (8848 meters), Mount Makalu (8463 meters), Mount Cho Oyu (8201 meters), Mount Lhotse (8516 meters) and so much more. Gokyo Ri is the best vantage point for the picturesque views of these mountains of the Everest region. 
Apart from these, Gokyo Ri also provides the best views of Ngozumpa glaciers and the Gokyo lakes. The views and serenity today will replenish you with energy and positivity. We will trek down to Gokyo lakes and stay there overnight with included breakfast and dinner service.

Trek to Khumjung village (3780 meters) from Gokyo Ri (7 hours)

We will trek down to Khumjung village (3780 meters) from Gokyo and this requires us to lose a lot of altitudes. As we descend down from Gokyo, the snow line starts getting less prominent and you start getting the views of the rhododendron and Magnolia forest. Khumjung is a remote valley and the lifestyle of locals (Sherpas) here is quite unique away from the influence of modernization. Once we arrive in Khumjung village, we will make a short trip to visit the Khumjung monastery. We shall stay overnight at a lodge in Khumjung village which includes breakfast and dinner service

Trek to Manjo (2835 meters) from Khumjung village (6 hours)

We will trek down to Manjo situated at 2835 meters from Khumjung village. En route lies Syangboche, a popular village in the Khumbu region. As you are Syangboche you will get overwhelming views of Mount Ama Dablam. Eventually, you will cross other villages en routes like Thame and Namche Bazar. The forest of rhododendron, fir, and oaks, several streams are also some sights that you will get today. Eventually, we cross Jorsalle and approach Manjo where we will stay overnight.

Manjo to Lukla 5-hour trek

Today is the last of the trekking day and we will head towards Lukla from Manjo. This will take us about 5 hours. In Lukla, we will rejoice the successful completion of our trek by eating, drinking, and singing together. We will stay overnight in Lukla.

Lukla to Kathmandu domestic flight, Arrival in Kathmandu airport

You will transfer from Lukla to Kathmandu via a 40-minute-long scenic flight.  You will be escorted to the hotel room where you can relax for the rest of the day.

Final farewell from Kathmandu Airport

One of the representatives of Greater Himalaya will escort you to the Tribhuvan International Airport and you will take off to your home or next destination.
