Gokyo Valley Trek

Overview

Gokyo Valley Trek is a wonderful journey on the edge of the beautiful Gokyo Ri Peak (5357m), glittering sapphire lakes and generous sherpas.

A climb to Gokyo Ri at 5340m is the highest point of this trek with spectacular views of Everest, Gokyo Valley, Gokyo Lake, Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu and the beautiful lush green vegetation accompanied by wildlife and seasonal flora.

This makes it popular with environmental scientists, ecologists, photographers, trekkers along with the pilgrims. Generally, the Gokyo Valley Trek comes with a package sightseeing of the beautiful architecturally rich Kathmandu Valley with the ancient Pagoda Temple and the lively locals that continues with a morning flight to Lukla.

The tour begins with a descent to Phakding and climb to the Namche Bazaar, passing the beautiful pine and rhododendron forest along the banks of the Dudh Koshi River leading to the gate of Everest - Namche Bazaar.

For acclimatization we take a day break there, which is very convenient because you can enjoy the beautiful suburb that enriches you spiritually and collect more information about mountain climbing and climate.

We also explore the market, visit monasteries and take a short tour of the museum and schools. After taking the necessary rest, we will go through Khumjung to Dole and explore the Himalayan lifestyle, people and landscape.
