Helambu Trek

Helambu Trek of the Langtang region is one of the best short treks that Nepal offers. Situated at an elevation of 3650 meters, the pristine Helambu valley is the climax of this trek. The journey that takes you to this enchanting village is equally charming with unspoiled routes, spellbinding mountain panoramas, local lodges, thundering rivers, lush hills, thick serene forests, and whatnot. The mountain views of Trekking in the Helambu region include marvelous landscapes of Langtang ranges, Gauri Shankar Himal, Ganesh ranges, Dorje Lakpa, etc.

This adventurous and joyful trek is best visited during the Spring and Autumn season for the best experiences. Helambu is among the less explored trekking regions of Nepal, thus the cultural, social, and natural aspects of this trek are still intact. The vibrant Tibetan Buddhist culture of the locals, dominant Sherpa, and Tamang communities through the trail are the major attractions of this trek apart from the serenity and mountain proximity.

Away from the modernization, Helambu Trek is an adventure with a well-preserved culture and environment. As you trek higher, you will be accommodating overnight in basic lodges of the locals. You will be served with local food (Dal- Bhat set is quite famous around here) and the heart-warming hospitality of the locals.  If you trek in the Autumn season, you will be served with organic Kiwi fruit that locals produce by themselves.  This trek brought to you by Greater Himalaya starts with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal.
