8 Days Kathmandu, Pokhara and Chitwan tour is one of the easiest tours in Nepal, best for those who are short in time but still want to explore the ancient sites, panoramic views along exotic wildlife. This trip begins with a Kathmandu tour where you will visit the 4 major UNESCO Listed Heritage Sites in Kathmandu - Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Swayambhunath, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Besides these, you will also enjoy the nightlife in Thamel and Ason Bazaar. We will also make short visits to Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square.

From Kathmandu, we will drive to Pokhara, the City of Lakes, which is the second-largest city in Nepal. In Pokhara, you will enjoy adventurous activities like Paragliding, mountain biking, bungee jumping, etc., explore religious sites like Tal Barahi Temple, Bindabasini Temple, Gupteshwar Temple, etc. and enjoy boating in Phewa Lake.

Then, we will drive to Sarangkot where you will enjoy the views of sunrise, sunset, and giant peaks such as Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, etc. In the morning, you can enjoy sightseeing in Sarangkot with the beautiful sunrise illuminating the highest peaks in Nepal in red, yellow, and orange colors.

After Pokhara, we will drive to the fourth biggest city of Nepal - Chitwan. It is in the southwestern part of Nepal. Chitwan National Park, the first park of Nepal, is a popular tourist hub of this district. You will enjoy jungle safari, elephant riding, canoeing, elephant bathing, etc. You will also encounter endangered animals such as Royal Bengal Tiger, One-Horned Rhino, Gharial Crocodile, Leopard, etc.

Arrival at Kathmandu

After your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu, our office representatives will escort you to the hotel. We will assist you in the check-in process and after that, you can take shower and rest for a while.

In leisure time, you can stroll around the nearby places to add more memories to your trip. You can walk around the bustling Thamel and Ason. Thamel is the main tourism hub where there are several shops of ancient arts and architecture. You can observe the market of Nepalese products and if you wish, you can buy them too as the price is reasonable.

Also, Ason is a famous Nepalese market where clothing, electronics, stationery, etc. items are sold mostly. You can also taste Nepalese spicy street foods in Ason at an affordable price. If time allows us, then we will pay a visit to the Garden of Dream which is in central Kathmandu. This place is famous for couples and has a serene and green environment.

After the exploration of nearby places, you will be served cultural Nepalese dishes as the ‘Welcome Dinner’ from Greater Himalaya. If possible, you will also get a chance to enjoy Nepalese programs. Also, to make your trip more exciting, don't forget to chat with the locals of Kathmandu by practicing some Nepali words.

Sightseeing in Kathmandu

We will explore the capital city of the Kingdom of Nepal to the fullest and capture some of the unforgettable experiences of our life. This city is also known as the 'City of the Temple' because it has numerous temples, pagodas, and shrines.

We will start our journey early in the morning by visiting one of the major sacred Hindu temples, Pasupatinath Temple. It lies on the bank of the Bagmati River and God Shiva is worshipped in this temple. Several small and big statues of God and goddess around the area of this temple will help you to calm your soul and mind.
From Pashupatinath Temple, we will head towards Boudhanath Stupa. This stupa is a famous Buddhist shrine that has been home to Tibetan refugees. It is the largest stupa in the world which is 131ft. in height. It is designed in mandala style and was built in the 5th century.

We will also visit Swayambhunath Stupa which is an important religious site for both Hindus and Buddhists. From the top of this stupa, you can see the beautiful view of Kathmandu city and its surroundings. Also, the flapping prayer flags, murals, Mani walls, Buddha statues, etc. make its surroundings more religious.
After exploring the Hindus and Buddhist sites, we will head towards Kathmandu Durbar Square which is also known as Hanuman Dhoka Palace. This place was ruled by Newari Mallas between the 12th and 18th centuries. We will visit Taleju Temple, Kumari Goddess Temple, Kal Bhairav, Jagannath Temple, King Pratap Malla statue, etc. inside the premises of this durbar square.

Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara

Highlights: Scenic drive to Pokhara, Glimpse of Trishuli River and Begnas Lake, and Strolling around the Lakeside of Pokhara

After having breakfast, we will drive to Pokhara to explore the 'City of the Lake'. The road condition from Kathmandu to Pokhara is good so you will have a comfortable and panromantic drive of around 6/7 hours.

You will get the view of low hills, dense forests, high Himalayas, small rivers and thundering waterfalls, changing landscapes and geographical structure, traditional human settlement, etc. throughout the journey. You can also get a glimpse of the Trishuli River from the window of the jeep.

If possible, we will make a stop at Begnas Lake where you can chill for a while. After reaching Pokhara, our representatives will escort you to the hotel. In the evening, you can stroll around the Lakeside of Pokhara. Later, you can have dinner while enjoying the Nepalese cultural program, if possible.

Sunrise trip to Sarangkot & Pokhara City Tour

Pokhara is one of the best attractions on the Nepal Tour. After breakfast, our adventurous tour to Pokhara starts. We will explore the lakeside of Pokhara and walk along the bank of Phewa Lake. Playing with serene water, boating, and viewing the panorama of Machhapuchhre peak and green hill are some of the major things to do in Pokhara lakeside.

From there, we will drive towards the World's Peace Pagoda which was built in 1973 by the Japanese Buddhist organization. This stupa is draped by flapping prayer flags and Mani wheels. From this spot, you can enjoy the topmost view of Phewa Lake and the stunning Annapurna Himalaya.

Then, we will head towards Davis Fall which is located 2km southwest of Pokhara airport. It is also known as Patale Chhango (Davis's fall) by local people. After this, we will visit the sacred Gufa (cave) of Pokhara i.e., Gupteshwor Cave. You need to crawl to get inside of this cave.

We will also visit Barahi Temple which is a popular religious site of this city. This temple represents the power of females. Besides these, you can also undertake some adventurous activities such as Paragliding, Biking, etc.

After taking the complete Pokhara Tour, we will drive to Sarangkot to enjoy the view of the sunset. We will stay in Sarangkot so that we can even capture the beautiful views of giant peaks illuminated by the sunrise.

Drive to Chitwan from Pokhara

We will wake up early and visit the top of Sarangkot from where we will witness the stunning panorama of sunrise illuminating the different peaks. After staying for a while, we will return to the hotel and enjoy our breakfast in the pleasant weather.

After breakfast, we will drive from Pokhara to Chitwan to observe its varied flora and fauna. We will enjoy the 4-5 hours of a short drive and rest in the hotel for a while after reaching the city. In the evening, we will wander around the city and explore the lifestyle, traditions, and culture of the local Tharu people of Nepal.

You can explore the local villages made of mud by walking or riding a bicycle. You will be amazed by the hospitality provided by the Nepalese people. You can also walk on the bank of the Rapti River. In the evening, you will be served ethnic Nepalese dishes and you can also enjoy the cultural program of Tharu.

Exploring Chitwan National Park

Today we will enjoy the jungle safari in this park. We will observe the varied flora and fauna. We will walk through the dense lush forests. You can also travel the forest on the back of an Elephant (Elephant Safari). Swimming and taking baths with elephants are other major attractions of this day.
This Park is suitable for those who enjoy bird watching as more than 640 species of birds are found here including Swamp Francolin, Grey-crowned Prinia, etc. You can also find around 160 migrant birds in this park.

This Park is also incredibly famous for canyoneering in Rapti River, watching gharial crocodiles and dolphins, etc. We will also visit the Chitwan National Park Museum at Kasara and Gharial Breeding Center. We can witness the beautiful sunrise and sunset views from the Narayani River.

Drive to Kathmandu from Chitwan

We will immediately transfer to the hotel after reaching Kathmandu where we will rest for a while. In the evening, you can stroll around the nearest local markets to buy souvenirs for your close ones.

Today is the last day of our Nepal Tour where our office representatives will pick you from the hotel and drop you at the airport in Kathmandu. Accommodation During Kathmandu - Pokhara - Chitwan Tour

Hotel accommodation is provided in our Kathmandu Pokhara Chitwan Tour. You will be staying in 3-star hotels in Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Chitwan. Sometimes, you will also spend your nights in a resort and farmhouse.

All the rooms of the hotel are well-equipped with the needed facilities. You will get access to an air-conditioned room, attached bathrooms, free wi-fi, hot and cold water, etc. Most of the hotels also have in-house bars, swimming pools, cafes, spas, travel desks, etc.

Accommodation is based on the twin-sharing concept. If you are traveling single, then you have to share a room with fellow travelers of having same-sex. However, if you want a single room, then we will make it available for you at a little extra cost.

If you want to stay in a 5-star hotel rather than a 3-star hotel, then we can make changes to your itinerary. You can enjoy the luxurious facilities, if they are available, just by paying a little extra. Just tell us and we will give you everything as per your demand.

Most of the Greater Himalaya itinerary includes breakfast, lunch, and Dinner as its cost is included in the package. However, if you want to buy water, snacks, or want to taste street foods, then you need to pay for it on your own.

Nepalese cuisine has a variety of options ranging from ethnic food Dhido and Gundruk to common food rice, dal, and curry.
