Mera Peak was first climbed by J.O.M Roberts and Sen Tenzing back in 1953 AD. The French climbers (Marcel Jolly, L Hills, and G Bauss) are credited and given the honor of approaching the true apex of Mera North in 1975 AD. Ever since, Mera Peak has been climbed by many trekking enthusiasts. Mera Peak Climbing is also made a part of acclimatization for Climbing Mount Everest.
