Yala Peak Climb is 13 days adventurous trip that takes us down the lane Langtang Valley in Langtang National Park. The whole tour relies on hiking and trekking. You will realize why this trip is so popular among the numerous trips available by the end.  On top of Yala Peak (5500m), you get to adore a heavenly view of Langtang Lirung (7227m), Dorje Lakpa (6966m), and Shishapangma (8046m), and Gangchempo (6388m).
The exciting trip begins from Kathmandu as we dart towards Syburbesi. Hike crossing the lush green forest and beautiful small villages of Domen, Bamboo, Lama Hotel, Langtang village, and Kenjin Gompa, we reach the base camp of Yala peak. 
The dense forests of oak and rhododendron meadows and glaciers amidst the trip proves the natural richness of Nepal. You can witness the variant Tamang culture, lifestyle, and tradition. Many Mani walls, monasteries, and Chortens embellished with colorful prayer flags show the importance of religion and the religious beliefs of people.
We will also observe the damage caused by April 2015 earthquake in Nepal mainly in the Langtang village.  Having splendid views of mountains – Lantang Lirung (7246m), Lenpo Gang 7083m), Dorje Lakpa (6990m), Gangchenpo (6388m), and  Shishapangma (8027m), we continue our hike up to the mighty Yala Peak.
The 13 days long Yala Peak Climb will feel your heart with bewilderment of exploring the mighty Langtang region along with the lifestyle and culture of the Tamang community. Itinerary

Arrival: Kathmandu Nepal > Departure: Kathmandu Nepal

Arrival at Kathmandu

Max. Altitude: 1300m
Overnight: Hotel (Kathmandu)
Meals Included: Welcome dinner.
Highlights: Visit Thamel, Ason and explore the local streets, local markets
Welcome to the city of temples, Kathmandu! You will meet our airport representative at the Tribhuwan International Airport on your arrival. You will be then transferred to the hotel. You can make yourself comfortable, freshen up and rest at the hotel.
You will be free for the day. You can step down and hover around the streets of Kathmandu. You can explore never stopping busy local markets such as Ason and Thamel. You will be amazed to witness the handmade products and rich art products in Thamel( a major tourist hub)
You can also visit Ason to experience and enjoy the best spicy street food in the town. You can also visit “ Garden of dreams” which is situated in the heart of Kathmandu. This place is great to spend time in a peaceful eco-friendly environment for singles as well as couples.
You will be pleased to have a ‘welcome dinner’ in the evening with a romantic Nepali instrumental program. Overnight at the hotel.

Sightseeing in Kathmandu City and Trip Preparation

Highlights: Pashupatinath, Bouddhanath, Swayambhunath & Kathmandu Durbar Square
This day is a part of acclimatization day. It includes rest and participation in a meeting with your guide. S/he will explain the whole procedures and highlights of the trip at sundown. So, this leaves you with a whole free day.
You can either rest at your hotel or visit some religious sites in the valley as:
In the morning, you can visit a major sacred Hindu temple, Pasupatinath Temple. The specialty of this temple is a golden roof and four silver doors.  You will be flabbergasted with the extension area of the temple with rich ancient artworks everywhere. 
The next destination is Boudhanath Stupa. Bouddhanath is one of the biggest pilgrimage sites for Tibetans. One can enjoy the full view of Bouddhanath and Tibetan delights. The place welcomes you with a peaceful vibe, and  the vibe grows into your soul 
After Bouddhanath, Swayambhunath Stupa will be a great option. It is an important religious site for both Hindus and Buddhists. We can observe the whole of Kathmandu city from the top of the Stupa. The flags, murals, walls also add a color of religious vibe there.
After exploring these sites, you can return to the hotel or head to Kathmandu Durbar Square which is also known as Hanuman Dhoka Palace. We will visit Kumari Goddess Temple, Taleju Temple, Kal Bhairav, Jagannath Temple, etc. inside the premises of this durbar square

Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi

Duration: 6/7 hrs  Private Drive
Max. Altitude: 1600 m

Highlights: Scenic road trip to Syabrubesi, Trishuli Bazaar, Dhunche
After breakfast, we begin our voyage to Syabrubesi (1600m) by private jeep (6 hrs). We proceed north from  Kathmandu driving through scenic foothills to Syabrubesi. The first part of this road trip includes passing the Trishuli Bazaar enjoying the clear distant views of smiling mountains, swift-flowing rivers,  green forests, terraced fields. 
We climb up a bit bumpy path of Dhunche and finally get down to Syabrubesi. It is a busy residential village and a famous tourist hub having small shops with all requirements. 
We will start trekking early in the morning tomorrow. So, we rest at our lodge after dinner.

Trek from Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel

Duration: 6/7 hrs trek
Max. Altitude: 2415 m
Overnight: Lodge/Teahouse.
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Highlights: Trek to Lama Hotel, explore the dense rhododendron and oak forests
After a hearty breakfast, we resume the journey towards LamaHotel. This is the first day of our trekking. The trail takes you through Bamboo village, a prime shelter for the rare Red Panda. 
We continue trekking across the famous Bhote Koshi river and Langtang Khola. You will explore the terraced fields, rural settlements, villages, and fertile lands climbing up to reach Lama Hotel.

Trek to Langtang village from Lama Hotel

Duration: 5 hrs
Max. Altitude: 3430 m
Overnight: Tea House/Lodge
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Highlights: Ghoda Tabela, Crop fields, Yak grazing ground, snowy peaks up to Langtang Village
After breakfast, we proceed out trek to Langtang from Lama Hotel ascending over the Langtang Khola. The lush green forests of pink, white and red rhododendron bless your eyes as you ascend the trail. The day can be quite good for burning your calories because the trail goes up throughout.
You will also be rewarded with the beautiful surrounding view of Langtang village, crop fields, beautifully arranged accommodation. Not only these, but nature will also display the white peaks covered with snow. Treat! Treat! Treat your eyes! Treat for your body and treat for your soul!
We will reach the lush meadows of Ghoda Tabela ( at the halfway) at 2992m crossing a big log bridge. The trail again descends a while before we arrive at Langtang village after crossing a stream. Hear the folk stories with a different Tamang accent gives you a refreshing vibe.

Trek to Kyanjin Gompa from Langtang Village

Duration: 3-4 hrs trek
Max. Altitude: 3870 m
Overnight: Tea House/Lodge

Highlights: Exploration of small monastery and cheese factory at Kyanjin Gompa
The trail passes gradually through rich yak pastures, glacial moraine, and streams. The trekkers can witness the snow-capped Himalayas smiling to prove how great and giving nature is. Langtang Lirung, Dorje Larpa, Langtang Ri dressed in beautiful white snow will greet you.
When we reach Kyanjin Gompa, we will pamper ourselves with yummy food with a spectacular natural view. We can rest there or the next option is Kyajo Ri ( a viewpoint from the direct north of Kyanjin Gompa).

Acclimatization day at Kyanjin Gompa

Duration: 3 hrs trek
Max. Altitude: 3870 m
Overnight: Lodge /Tea House
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Highlights: Acclimatization hike,  Kyanjing Ri, Langshisha Kharka or Tserko Ri( optional hike)
The day marks acclimatization. This is the place from where the oxygen level in the air decreases down as the thin air begins. You can be lucky to have beautiful panoramic sights of Langtang if the sky is clear.
We can see a small monastery there and a government-operated cheese factory. Some of the popular side trips are: a day hike Tserko Ri (4985m) or Langshisha Kharka or a half-day hike to lower Kyanjin Ri that helps in acclimatization. Kyanjin Ri is a ridge behind the village that is featured with magnificent close-up sights of the mountains. The day features stretching and adjusting ourselves to the environment.

Trek to Yala Base Camp from Kyanjing Gumpa

Duration:5-6 hrs
Max. Altitude: 4800m
Overnight:  Tented camp

Highlights: Preparation for the climax, stunning views of Ganchenpo (6,378m/20,925ft, Jugal Mountain Range), Naya Kang (5,846m/19,179ft), Tserko Ri (5,033m/16,500ft), and the mighty Yala Peak
Your heart will pound with the excitement of the climax of this trip. You are a step back from the Yala peak climb.
The trail gets a little challenging as we ascend the rocky glacial path. However, it will feel worthy when you will reach the base camp. You will be fascinated by the beauty of peaks around i.e. Ganchenpo (6,378m/20,925ft, Jugal Mountain Range), Naya Kang (5,846m/19,179ft), Tserko Ri (5,033m/16,500ft), and the mighty Yala Peak. 
You will then store your stuff in camp, then prepare for tomorrow. You will have to listen to the instructions for climbing from your guide and prepare your belongingness for the climb. You will then get back to the camp and rest.

Yala peak climb and back to Kyanjin Gompa

Duration:  8-9 hrs walking
Max. Altitude: 5732 m
Overnight: Lodge/Tea House

Highlights: The mighty Yala Peak, 360-degree view of  Dorje Lakpa, Ganchenpo, Naya Kang,  Tserko Ri , Langtang Lirung

The climate here is quite unexpected. You will have to wake up early in the morning and get ready for the climb. You will have your shoes capped in snow as you reach the top of Yala peak.
Your heart will be filled with the heavyweight of bewilderment.  Langtang Lirung, Dorje Lakpa, Ganchenpo, Naya Kang, and Tserko Ri will surround you with full gratitude in a 360-degree view. You can also spot the tallest mountain in Tibet i.e. Sishapangma. 
You can take pictures on your camera as well as your mind for a lifetime memory. We will return to Kyanjin Gompa, drink hot water and rest warm.

Trek Down to Lama Hotel from Kyanjing

Duration: 7/8 hrs walking
Max. Altitude: 2784 m
Overnight: Lodge/Tea House
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Highlights: All day long trek, Alpine forests, and beautiful flowers
After breakfast, we take the same route back to the Lama hotel. Lunch will be in between the journey. It is a day of the long trek where you will pass the Langtang village, alpine forests, the Tamang village Ghoda Tabela to reach the Lama Hotel. You can still take breaks to admire how beautiful the mountains look during the trek.
You will stop by and explore the beautiful villages and settlements in the mighty Langtang area in between the trek.

Trek Back to Syabrubesi from Lama Hotel

Duration: 6 hrs walking
Max. Altitude: 1505 m
Overnight: Lodge/Tea House
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Highlights: Following the Langtang river to Syabrubesi, celebration dinner at Syabrubesi
After breakfast, we continue walking through the forest trail crossing the Langtang river and Bhote Koshi river. The area is a habitat of Tamang people, you will encounter a variant culture, language, and livelihood of them. We will have lunch amidst the trail at a village.

After lunch,  the path skirts to Syabrubesi. We keep walking following the Langtang river to Syabrubesi. We will again see the busy livelihood as we reach Syabrubesi. We can enjoy the dinner as a celebration feast in the success of our trek.

Drive back to Kathmandu

Duration: 6/7  hrs  Private drive
Max. Altitude: 1300 m
Overnight: Hotel in Kathmandu
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Highlights: Farewell dinner with the team, souvenir buy, scenic road trip back to Kathmandu

The overland drive goes through the same route that you came from. You will bid farewell to the snow-capped mountains, rolling hills, waterfalls, swiftly flowing rivers throughout the way back
After reaching Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel in no time. You can have a hot shower and relax. 
In the evening, you can step out head out to the streets of Thamel to buy some souvenirs and gifts in memory of the mighty land i.e Nepal. ‘Farewell dinner’ with our team awaits you. You can enjoy the last evening with typical Nepali delights, get back to the hotel, and pack your belongingness.

Departure from Kathmandu

Today is the final day. You will be transferred to the airport by our representative for departure. You will always have this overwhelming proud memory of Yala Peak climb. We then bid you farewell with a wish to meet and serve you again in the future.
 

Accommodation

Accommodation in Yala Peak Climb 

Generally, our accommodation concept relies on a 3-star hotel and twin sharing rooms. Based on situations, you may have to settle on a farmhouse or resort during the trek. However, we will make sure that the services are equivalent to the services provided by a 3-star based on luxury, hygiene, and quality

Air-conditioned rooms with an attached bathroom/toilet, free Wi-Fi, hot /cold water are available. On-site bars, swimming pools, cafes, spas, travel desks, are also available in most the places 

In the case you are traveling alone, you will have to share your room with someone of the same gender. However, if you are uncomfortable with this concept, you can have your single room. All you have to do is inform us during the bookings and pay a little extra amount than usual.

Furthermore, if you want your accommodation planned in a 5-star hotel, we can accordingly plan your itinerary. This comes with an extra charge along with the deluxe facilities. It will be our pleasure to give you the best services available.

 

Meals During Yala Peak Climb 

Regarding your meals, the regular breakfast, dinner, and lunch come up with the tour package. Anything extra than these meals will be under personal expenses. 

The mountainous region serves you Dhido and Gundruk, ethnic Nepali delight. It is said that Dhido helps to maintain heat in your body in a cold region. This reason is one of the main reasons why most of the places in the Himalayas serve you Dhido.

Besides, rice, dal, and curry will be common among most of the places. You can also experience Chinese and Tibetan delights such as dumplings and Thukpa on this trip.  You will have access to western cuisines, delights, and fast foods like pizza, burgers, spaghetti inside the Kathmandu valley
